So the football World cup has got off to a great start and it’s amazing to see so many tourists in Cape Town during winter!
The opening World Cup game was terrifying, electric and superb all at the same time. The photo above is the reaction after the first goal of the World cup by South Africa’s own Tshabalala-what a goal! Check the video out here

We’ve been taking quite a few cycling day trips out between matches and have so far,been lucky with the weather. Tokai was great with a few puddles but loads more traction than usual avaiable on the sweeping single track, and we still got to enjoy views after all the climbing!

And of course got to bomb down the switchback descent afterwards!

Palle from Germany couldn’t get enough of the riding so I took him onto Table Mountain.

By the time we had climbed to kings blockhouse, the sun peaked out and we were greeted with this lovely trail!
