Trail report - Delvera

Delvera:

We love the ride at Delvera. The black route at the top is one of the most challenging pieces of singletrack in Cape Town and the winter weather has made it even more of a challenge. That said, the red trail below it has also been subject to quite a bit of erosion and is a really difficult ride now for intermediate riders. There are quite a number of berms that need to be built up and gullies are starting to form in places, which make the trail a bit dangerous at times.

The northshore section through the poplar trees is in a bit of disrepair. There are broken planks, and it is super slippery as there is no chicken mesh on the planks. I would not recommend anyone to ride it while it is wet or even just damp.

The dual track at the center is still really fun and an excellent place to learn to jump. Why not head out there for a day and go and improve your skills on all the different options?
