Gravel roads and mountain biking

Jeep track and dirt roads are essential to linking up all our sections of precious singletrack, giving you a break to take in the views and usually to let your heart and mind relax a little bit.

I went for a ride on Paarl Mountain Reserve the other day. While there is no singletrack in the reserve itself , there is a great network of gravel roads that have incredible views and can give you a good workout.

For those who prefer the gravity side of the sport, there is a really fun downhill course below the Afrikaans Taal Monument) . I went and checked out the actual Taal monument while I was there. This section of it is just begging to be ridden! Any bmx’er or trials riders out there willing to give it a go?

I didn’t take any photos while riding on Paarl Mountain Reserve but couldn’t miss the opportunity to go back in Eric the stormtrooper (our van) to get some photos to give you an idea of the area.
