That’s right! 1st November means Summer and the month of dodgy moustaches. We’re a bit guilty of neglecting the blog for a while but it’s because the weather is just too perfect to stay indoors.
We’ve had a few good day trips out into the mountains-the biggest surprise being 2 sets of honeymooners! Both couples were intent on seeing as much of the outdoor lifestyle that South Africa has to offer. Here is Petra from Switzerland climbing up to Noordhoek peak with me lagging behind.
And this is the other couple from Ireland after a tough climb up Jonkershoek Nek.
Our local jump track at UCT saw some good action a few weeks ago. Salvo, a local BMX manufacturer organised a Dirt Jam and dual race comp. Check out Kath Miller’s Killer Video below;

On Saturday, Monster Energy put on the always entertaining Halloween Dirt jam at Gumtrails in Durbanville. Besides the silly outfits,
manicured jumps
and big falls
the level of riding was just incredible.
Considering that the cross winds were being a nuisance, it was amazing to see what the young bloods were pulling off. Thanks for the entertainment guys-you must be sore today!
Before I sign off, I just have to say that the local girls here have been riding more than the guys. Not that the riding has been without incident-here is Louise’s elbow after a bit of a ‘belly flop’ in Stellenbosch.
