As far as single track trails go, the newest kid on the block is the Schapenberg trail network and iRide Africa was invited to ride it a few weeks ago.

We have finalised dates for our ever popular end of year single track holiday. So if you’re keen to ride the best mountain bike trails in and around Cape Town, you better free up your calendar from 30 December 2011 - 8 January 2012.
The official itinerary for the trip can be found here but we wanted to show you a bit more about this single track vacation and get you amped to ride with us!

Single track was the name of the game. To watch the best riders in the world compete in first round of the Mountain bike World Cup and then to ride single track, ride some more single track and then do it again!

There’s been a new trail at Jonkershoek for a while now but it has eluded us here at iRide Africa. As far as we know, the Ace of Spades trail crew built it and it is one fantastic trail! Be warned though, you want to be an advanced rider if you ride this trail ie-you are able to ride tight, steep switchbacks, and are comfortable with a fair amount of exposure.

iRide Africa recently held another singletrack tour where we showed off some of our local trails to foreigners.
Herewith are short trail condition reports on each of the trails we visited.
Todays update is Delvera (click on the links to see a photo/video the section being talked about)
The updates main purpose is to inform the public about which trails are still good to ride after our first winter rains.
Hopefully it will also serve as a reminder to the various trail builders (who are our hero’s!) on which trails to re-visit and do some upgrading.
