New riders: Learn to ride - R300

(3 hours)

Learn new skills and build the confidence to ride single track trails. Develop the confidence and skills to ride trails safely and efficiently. These 3 hour clinics are ideal for those who are new to the sport, feel uncomfortable/scared on a bike and are confused by all those gears!

We Teach:
  • Bike Set Up: Suspension and Controls
  • Body Positioning
  • Braking and Shifting Basics
  • Other skills based on the area (see below)
Itinerary:
  • Meet at 2pm
  • 1.5 Hours practising techniques on flat terrain with cones and logs
  • 1.5 Hours mtb ride applying techniques (5-10km ride)
  • Finish by 5pm
Meerendal Session : Meerendal trails
Main focus:
  • Riding tight corners (up and down)
  • Descending a steep trail (The Mineshaft)
Tokai Session : Tokai trails
Main Focus:
  • Riding up steep sections
  • Line selection through rooty sections
