New riders: Learn to ride - R300
(3 hours)
Learn new skills and build the confidence to ride single track trails. Develop the confidence and skills to ride trails safely and efficiently. These 3 hour clinics are ideal for those who are new to the sport, feel uncomfortable/scared on a bike and are confused by all those gears!
We Teach:
- Bike Set Up: Suspension and Controls
- Body Positioning
- Braking and Shifting Basics
- Other skills based on the area (see below)
Itinerary:
- Meet at 2pm
- 1.5 Hours practising techniques on flat terrain with cones and logs
- 1.5 Hours mtb ride applying techniques (5-10km ride)
- Finish by 5pm
Meerendal Session : Meerendal trails
Main focus:
- Riding tight corners (up and down)
- Descending a steep trail (The Mineshaft)
Tokai Session : Tokai trails
Main Focus:
- Riding up steep sections
- Line selection through rooty sections
