Back Country cycling Tour
As Ernest Hemingway said, “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them.” We couldn’t agree more and South Africa is world renown for it scenic beauty and diverse floral and animal kingdoms. Is there a better way to experience this splendour than on a mountain bike tour? We don’t think so and these Cape Town cycle tours focus on getting you out to the truly remote and beautiful areas of our country.
Our guides will lead you through hundreds of kilometers of beautiful scenery, and at the end of the day you will be hosted in clean and comfortable guesthouses along the route. Our routes are based on our own experiences and include parts of the Cape Epic routes and other big mountain biking races in South Africa. Most of the riding is done on jeep tracks and dirt roads but we try to incorporate singletrack wherever we can. The format is similar to mountain bike marathon stage races- ride from point A to point B. The difference being that your luggage is carried by our support vehicle and you get to sleep in quality accommodation every night!
